Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad

If you’re looking for something extremely quick and easy to throw together for your gathering, then this recipe is for you.

Ingredients:

Make sure to wash all of your produce before you start assembling the salad. After all of the produce has been washed, cut your apples into roughly ½-inch chunks and cut your strawberries into about ⅛-inch thick pieces. Add all of the produce to a bowl and toss with the lemon juice. It’s as simple as that!

Red, White, and Blue Poke Cake

A colorful poke cake is a great way to take your 4th of July dessert to the next level. Making a poke cake is also actually pretty simple and usually doesn’t require too many complicated ingredients.

Ingredients:

Start by preparing your white cake mix (follow package instructions). Once your white cake is out of the oven, use the end of a wooden spoon (or straw) to poke several holes all over the top of the cake. Prepare your gelatin according to package directions. Once the gelatin is dissolved, drizzle both over the top of your cake making sure to pour over the holes.

Tip: Pour a row of blue, then a row of red, and keep alternating to get an even mix of red and blue in the cake. Make sure to go over each row 2-3 times so that the color shows up well.

Next, spread the tub of whipped topping on your cake and top with rows of strawberries and blueberries. Chill for at least 4 hours, serve, and enjoy!
